Transform386 is encouraging non-profit organizations to apply to our Infrastructure and Mitigation Program. $50 million of funding has been allocated for infrastructure projects with an additional $42.9 million allocated for mitigation projects. These resources will be utilized to enhance Volusia County as a whole, underscoring dedication to ensure the safety, functionality, and long-term resiliency for the residents of Volusia County. Scheduled across multiple locations in May, these workshops cover vital topics such as leadership, communication, programming, and more. Transform386's contractor, LEMOINE Disaster Services, is seeking proposals for the demolition, rehabilitation, reconstruction, and/or elevation of residential structures, along with the repair or replacement of Manufactured Housing Units (MHUs) impacted by Hurricane Ian. We are pleased to announce the reopening of our online application portal for the Hurricane Ian Homeowner Recovery program. This follows a brief period of maintenance to enhance our service to the community. We have also resumed in-person support services. Our staff members will be available at selected Volusia County public libraries on various days of the week to offer hands-on assistance to impacted homeowners looking to submit a new application or provide additional documentation for an application already submitted.

The Hurricane Ian Homeowner Recovery Program's online application will be temporarily closed for maintenance beginning Friday, March 22, and will reopen at 9 a.m., Monday, April 1. Also, the onsite outreach at public libraries from March 25-29 is canceled due to application maintenance. Onsite application assistance will resume in April at various regional libraries. Read more
