Volusia County has received Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to assist in recovery efforts from Hurricane Ian. The multi-family program provides gap funding to cover costs that exceed the available resources for new multi-family housing projects. This initiative supports low-income families and seniors by providing funding for affordable housing.
Please note: Applications for the Multi-Family Housing Program are currently closed. Updates will be shared if additional funding or opportunities become available.
On or about October 27, 2025, Volusia County will request HUD’s release of funds to support the Lakewood Senior Housing Project—a four-story, 56-unit senior housing complex at 1300 Jimmy Ann Drive, Daytona Beach, FL. The County has determined the project poses no significant environmental impact.
Submit written comments by October 26, 2025, to the Volusia County Office of Recovery and Resiliency to have your input considered before the request is finalized. Objections to the release of funds may be emailed to CPDRROFJKV@hud.gov.
