About the Program
Volusia County has allocated up to $5,000,000 in funding for the Rental Repair Program to repair and restore affordable rental housing stock. The Single Family Rental Repair and Replacement Program will provide up to $50,000 in assistance per rental unit to rental property owners for eligible activities including rehabilitation and associated improvements, such as energy efficiency and resilience activities on properties that meet the HUD definition of a single-family structure (less than five attached units).
Eligibility
- Ownership: Property owners must demonstrate ownership of the rental property and also must reside in Volusia County.
- Income: While landlords will not be required to be Low-to-Moderate Income, they will be required to comply with a twenty-year affordability period that necessitates the owner(s) to lease the unit(s) to LMI households earning 80% or less of their County AMI and to lease the units at affordable rental fees.
- Insurance: Property owners must maintain insurance, including flood, wind, and/or hazard insurance as mandated by federal, state, and local regulations.
- Damage to the property must be directly tied back to Hurricane Ian to be eligible for repairs and/or reimbursements.

Property Taxes
- Proof from Assessor Taxes are Paid in Full
- Proof of Payment plan in good standing
If a mortgage, proof mortgage is current
- Most recent mortgage statement
Proof of residency in Volusia County by the landlord

Proof of Tenancy at the time of the storm if available. Or proof the unit was available for rent at the time of the storm
